This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Green Equipment Diagnostics mobile application and related services.

- Email address — required for account creation and login
- Name (optional) — used to personalize reports and communications
1.2 Diagnostic Data
- Photos of equipment displays — uploaded by you to read fault codes via OCR
- Fault codes and diagnostic results — the codes you scan and the reports we generate
- Machine information — make, model, PIN/serial number (optional, entered by you)
1.3 Device Information
- Device model and OS version — for troubleshooting and compatibility
- App version — for update notifications and crash analysis
- IP address — logged temporarily for security and rate limiting
1.4 Usage Analytics
- Feature usage — which features you use and how often (anonymized)
- Crash reports — automatically sent via Firebase Crashlytics if the app crashes
2. How We Use Your Information

3. AI and Third-Party Services
To generate plain-language diagnostic reports, fault code data may be processed through third-party AI services including:
- Google Gemini
- OpenAI (GPT-4o)
- Moonshot AI
- Groq
Important: Only fault codes and machine model information are sent to these services. NO personally identifiable information (name, email, location, photos) is included in AI requests. Photos are processed for OCR locally or via Google Vision API before any code data is sent for synthesis.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Server location: Hetzner, Germany (2.28.11.221)
- Encryption: All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS 1.3
- Database: PostgreSQL with encrypted backups
- Backups: Nightly automated backups with 7-day retention
- Access: Restricted to authorized BellTech Software personnel only
We implement industry-standard security measures. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
